Bay Area Capital Connections |
Bay Area Capital Connections In partnership with the Alliance for Community Development, the Bay Area Family of Funds has developed a region-wide conference series for inner-city, minority-led businesses. These conferences provide critical business and financial information to growing businesses located in or near LMI urban core areas interested in double bottom line investment performance goals. Geared towards businesses and CEOs that have had some success in the marketplace and towards start-ups that have developed innovative business models, Bay Area Capital Connections delivers an intensive, one-day introduction to the financial resources and management tools necessary to take these companies to the next level. The first in a series of three conferences was entitled Bay Area Capital Connections I: Investment and Business Resources for Inner-City Companies, was held on November 9th, 2006, at the University of San Francisco Mission Bay campus. This conference drew from a substantial pool of African American entrepreneurs in the Greater Bay Area, also attracting providers of debt and equity capital interested in this fast- growing and increasingly prominent market.
